Starting from nothing
Harrison Brook came to me in 2014 as a brand new company. They had no website, no search presence and no track record online. They wanted to advise expats around the world on their finances, a market where trust matters more than almost anything and the competition is already established.
The site had three jobs. It needed to make a new firm look credible from day one. It needed to explain complex financial services clearly. And it needed to turn visitors into enquiries.
Built to grow
I designed and built their first site on WordPress. From the start it was set up for a business that wouldn't stay small.
Their team could add new services and publish content without calling a developer. Enquiries went straight into Pipeline, their CRM, so leads didn't get lost between the website and the advisers.
New markets, new sites
As Harrison Brook grew, they expanded into France in [year] and the US in [year]. Each market got its own site on its own domain, built to compete in local search against local firms.
The rebuild
By 2020 the business had outgrown its original site. I redesigned and rebuilt it to reflect what Harrison Brook had become: an established, multi-market firm rather than a start-up.
It still runs on WordPress. That's deliberate. The right platform, set up properly, doesn't need replacing every few years.
Staying visible in search
Financial advice is one of the hardest areas to rank in. Google holds finance content to a higher standard than most topics, and the goalposts keep moving. [Results: e.g. organic traffic growth, enquiry growth, or ranking stability through core updates.]
Why it matters
Most website relationships don't last. The site gets launched, the agency moves on, and a few years later the business starts again with someone new.
Harrison Brook has worked with me for over a decade. That covers their launch, growth, two international expansions and a full rebuild. Working with one partner for that long means your developer already knows your business, remembers why decisions were made, and builds for where you're going next.
